63 Orang Meninggal Usai Bom Meledak di Pesta Pernikahan

Konfrontasi - Sebuah bom meledak di sebuah pesta pernikahan di ibu kota Afghanistan, Kabul, menewaskan 63 orang dan mencederai lebih dari 180 lainnya.

Sejumlah saksi mata mengatakan kepada BBC bahwa seseorang meledakkan dirinya pada Sabtu (17/8/2019) pukul 22.40 waktu setempat di bagian barat kota yang banyak dihuni kaum Muslim Syiah.

Kelompok Taliban menyanggah mereka berada di balik peristiwa itu. Tiada kelompok lain yang mengaku bertanggung jawab.

KONFRONTASI - Menjelang kedatangan rombongan Presiden Joko Widodo, Kabul kembali diterjang serangan, kali ini terhadap sebuah Akademi Militer, namun Jokowi tetap kukuh datang ke ibukota Afghanistan itu.

Teten Masduki, koordinator staff khusus presiden, mengatakan bahwa presiden mendapat arahan tentang situasi keamanan terbaru di Kabul. "Namun presiden tetap yakin dan bersikeras untuk tetap mengunjungi Kabul," katanya melalui pesan seluler.

Taliban claims deadly Kabul attacks

KONFRONTASI-The Taliban has attacked targets in different parts of the Afghan capital, Kabul, including a police headquarters in the western part of the city, killing at least 16 people and wounding dozens.

A suicide car bomber on Wednesday struck an Afghan police precinct in western Kabul, the interior ministry said.

Immediately after the blast, gunfire rang out, witnesses told Al Jazeera, in a continuing attack which sent clouds of acrid smoke billowing into the sky.

Australian woman kidnapped in Kabul

KONFRONTASI-An Australian working for a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Afghanistan was reported kidnapped in the capital Kabul on Saturday, officials said.

"The Australian Embassy in Kabul is making urgent enquiries into reports an Australian has been kidnapped in Kabul," a spokesman for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Canberra said in an emailed statement on Sunday. "Due to the nature of the incident we will not be commenting further." 

Taliban claim Kabul bomb attack on compound used by foreigners

KONFRONTASI-A Taliban truck bomb exploded outside a protected hotel compound used by foreign service contractors in Kabul on Monday, ripping a deep crater in the ground and leaving a tangle of wreckage but causing few casualties.

The loud blast was heard around Kabul at about 1.30 a.m. (2100 GMT on Sunday) and electricity was cut off in many areas, heightening uncertainty in a city on edge after a suicide attack a week earlier that killed at least 80 people.

Bom Bunuh Diri Guncang Kabul, 14 Warga Nepal Tewas

KONFRONTASI-14 orang yang tengah menumpang minibus di Kabul tewas akibat ledakan bom bunuh diri, Senin (21/6/2016). Mereka yang tewas adalah warga negara Nepal yang bekerja di Kedutaan Kanada di Kabul.

"Laporan awal dari serangan teroris hari ini di Kabul, sebanyak 14 tewas dan 8 terluka. Polisi sedang bekerja untuk mengidentifikasi korban," ujar Juru Bicara Kementerian Dalam Negeri Sediq Sediqqui dalam akun twitternya Senin, 20 Juni 2016. Juru bicara Taliban, Zabihullah Mujahid, di media sosial mengaku bertanggung jawab atas serangan itu.

Thousands of Afghan Hazaras join power line protest in Kabul

KONFRONTASI-Thousands of demonstrators from Afghanistan's Hazara minority marched in protest through Kabul on Monday saying that they are missing out on a multi-million dollar power transmission line, posing a major challenge to the government of President Ashraf Ghani.

Protesters have been demanding that the planned route for the 500 kV transmission line linking Turkmenistan with Kabul be changed to pass through two provinces with large Hazara populations, an option the government says would cost millions and delay the badly needed project by years.

Attacks on army, police and U.S. special forces kill 50 in Kabul

KONFRONTASI-A wave of attacks on the Afghan army and police and U.S. special forces in Kabul have killed at least 50 people and wounded hundreds, dimming hopes that the Taliban might be weakened by a leadership struggle after their longtime leader's death.

The bloodshed began on Friday with a truck bomb that exploded in a heavily populated district of the capital and ended with an hours-long battle at a base used by U.S. special forces. It became the deadliest day in Kabul for years.

Large explosion hits Afghanistan's capital Kabul

KONFRONTASI-A powerful blast has targeted a NATO military convoy in Afghanistan's capital Kabul, killing two people and wounding 26 others, including women and children, officials have said.

The blast on Tuesday came on the main road to the airport, around 500m from the US embassy and near a base for foreign troops.

The armed group Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.

NATO said none of its troops were killed or injured in the attack.
