Obama not behind protests against Trump: Analyst

KONFRONTASI - Former US President Barack Obama or the Democratic Party have not been behind the near-daily protests against President Donald Trump, says an anti-war activist in Chicago.

In an interview with Press TV on Monday, Joe Iosbaker said that the democrats lost the election in November because they defended Wall Street bailouts, free trade deals that benefited financial firms involved in international trade.

KONFRONTASI - Russia says that the US’s former administration is to blame for Moscow, Washington relations being at their lowest level since the Cold War.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov made the remark on Tuesday, while noting that former US President Barack Obama and his government “began to turn towards a strain, and then a confrontation with us long before the Ukrainian crisis.”  

The US and its allies blame Moscow for the strategic Black Sea peninsula of Crimea’s joining Russia following a referendum in March 2014.

KONFRONTASI - US President Donald Trump says his predecessor Barack Obama is personally behind the growing intelligence leaks and nationwide protests against his administration.

During a Fox News interview that aired on Tuesday, Trump was asked if he thought people from the Obama administration were “organizing” protests and taking other measures to undermine him.

"No, I think he is behind it. I also think it is politics, that's the way it is," Trump replied.
