ISIL fast reaching Turkey border despite US airstrikes

KONFRONTASI - The terrorist ISIL group has made advances on areas near the Syrian border with Turkey, despite airstrikes against the Takfiri militants by a US-led coalition.

According to reports late on Tuesday, the Takfiri terrorists have come within two kilometers of the major Syrian border town of Ain al-Arab situated in the northern province of Aleppo. The town is also known as Kobani to the Kurds.

The Takfiri ISIL terrorists have had the strategic Syrian town under siege during the past several days.

Palestinian negotiator likens Netanyahu to ISIL leader

KONFRONTASI -The Palestinian Authority chief negotiator has likened Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the notorious leader of the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group.

Speaking on Tuesday, Saeb Erekat said “Netanyahu is trying to disseminate fear of” the ISIL led by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, “but Netanyahu forgets that he himself leads the Jewish state."

"He wants us to call Israel the Jewish state, and supports terrorist settlers who kill, destroy and burn mosques and churches... like Baghdadi's men kill and terrorize," Erekat said.

ISIL frees 70 abducted Kurdish children in Syria

KONFRONTASI - The ISIL terrorist group has released over 70 Kurdish school children that it had abducted in northern Syria several months ago.

The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights made the announcement on Tuesday, saying that parents had reported the release of the children, who are believed to be aged between 13 and 15.

The released kids were among 153 school children kidnapped by the ISIL terrorists on May 29 in the province of Aleppo while en route to their hometown of Ain al-Arab.

Appearing on “The Kelly File” Tuesday, Christian priest in Baghdad recounted the stunning details of a conversation he reportedly had with an Iraqi soldier as Islamic State terrorists are believed to be just miles away from the Iraqi capital.

In a Monday Facebook post, described as an “SOS” message by Megyn Kelly, Rev. Canon Andrew warned that Islamic State militants “are on the verge of entering Baghdad… All the military air strikes are doing nothing. If ever we need your prayer it is now.”

Analyst: Bahrain corrupt regime on brink of collapse

A political commentator has questioned the legitimacy of the Bahraini government, saying the Al Khalifa regime is teetering on the brink of collapse, Press TV reports.

“The regime makes up charges to arrest those who oppose the monarchical dictatorship; and with the oppressive life sentences. This is ridiculous,” Colin Cavell, an author and lecturer, told Press TV in a Wednesday interview, adding, “The regime indicates its instability. It indicates that it is on its last days.”

The arrest of a second youth in a high-profile case in which a 16-year-old girl was gang raped and dumped in a pit latrine, breaking her spine, shows Kenya is starting to tackle its "epidemic" of sexual violence, campaigners said.

KONFRONTASI - Former secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff says the ISIL terrorist group could strike the United States in retaliation to the Pentagon’s bombings.

“Whether carry out that threat by sending fighters back who they’ve trained, or whether they try to inspire lone wolves, or whether they simply captivate potential recruits and they go out on their own to carry out attacks, I think all of those are possibilities,” he told The Hill.
